Your First Consultation: What To Expect

At Bowers Fawcett & Hurst, LLC, our attorneys understand that the legal process can feel overwhelming, whether you are pursuing a civil action, have been charged with a crime or are going through a divorce. The important thing to remember is that you are not alone. Our lawyers are here to help guide you through your case, one step at a time, based out of a welcoming yet professional office located in a renovated home in Ambridge.

The following information can help inform you of what to expect when you visit us for your initial consultation. To schedule an appointment, call us at 724-330-4780.

Personal Injury And Civil Claims

If you were injured in an accident or have a civil rights violation claim, you will typically first meet with an experienced paralegal who will gather some background information. After you have spoken with a paralegal, you will then meet with one of our attorneys who will talk with you about your case in more detail. These consultations are free of charge.

Our office is handicapped accessible, and we can also make home or hospital visits if you are unable to travel to our office. Advanced preparation is helpful. If you can provide any and all documentation related to your claim, such as insurance information, police reports, identification, medical reports and so on, we are better able to explain your options and let you know what to expect moving forward.

Criminal Cases

Our criminal defense consultations are free of charge. You will meet directly with an attorney to discuss your case and determine the best path for moving forward. We are able to provide consultations in jail upon request.

Family Law Consultations

An initial consultation to discuss your family law matter will usually last around one hour. You will meet directly with an attorney who will gather your personal and background information, and will provide you with an overview of what to expect moving forward. If you have been served with papers related to your family legal issue, it is helpful to bring those along as well. These consultations are not free. We can answer any questions you may have regarding initial costs when you schedule your appointment.
